Well-being Concepts

Well-being is a positive outcome that is meaningful for people because it indicates that someone views their day to day life positively. Good living conditions (e.g., housing, employment) are fundamental to one’s sense of well-being. However, many indicators that measure living conditions fail to measure what people think and feel about their lives as a whole. Good relationships, positive emotions, resilience, the realization of personal potential, &/or overall satisfaction with life all contribute to a sense of “well-being.” Essentially, well-being generally includes global judgments of life satisfaction and feelings ranging from depression to joy.

Many factors create a sense of well-being. Life experiences determine outcomes and each person’s journey is unique. Interpretations and perceptions play a role in coping with challenges. For many years, was considered taboo for someone to receive counseling. Presently, this stigma has changed somewhat and many are seeking help to feel better about their life & circumstances that contribute to well being. 

You do not have to struggle alone anymore. I am here to help you have a greater sense of well being so you can enjoy your life.
